Lichenomphalia chromacea – Yellow Navel

(Synonym Omphalina chromacea)

Associated with a mat of green algae on the ground or amongst bryophytes in native forests. This small bright yellow species has a centrally depressed moist-looking cap with a wavy and grooved margin. Yellow gills run part-way down the stem and are relatively widely spaced. The yellow stem is smooth and moist.
