Cruentomycena viscidocruenta – Ruby Bonnet

(Synonym Mycena viscidocruenta)

In native litter. This tiny species has a blood-red translucent-striate cap with a darker red dimple in the centre, pale red gills and a deep red stem. Both cap and stem are slimy and gluten can be seen in blobs on stems of very fresh specimens. The stems have a fluffy white base attaching them to the substrate.
