Laccocephalum mylittae – Native Bread

On the ground, only fruiting in disturbed or burnt native vegetation. Fresh fruit-bodies are soft, but tough, and pure white to cream. Velvety caps are very large and irregularly shaped, and the spores are small. A thick, short, white stem tapers sharply towards the base.
