Fungimap holds a number of events each year around the country, including talks, conferences, festivals, and workshops.
Our conference is held every two years in a regional location around Australia. In 2013, the conference was held in Rawson, Victoria and attracted over 75 participants to four days of forays, talks, and workshops in the Baw Baw National Park and the Tarra-Bulga National Park. Find out more about what fungi were recorded on forays at this conference by clicking here.
The Fungimap Festival was held every two years in an urban location around Australia, in alternation with the Fungimap Conference. Fungimap Events are an opportunity to mix with fellow fungi enthusiasts and share and learn about the latest fungal science, engage in debates, and participate in workshops.
Fungimap 8 was held 16-21 April 2015 in Batemans Bay, New South Wales. The focus of the event was to build up people’s knowledge of macrofungi.
