Hericium coralloides – Coral Tooth

(Synonym Hericium clathroides)

On native and exotic logs and stumps in sheltered, damp places. This is a delicate white to creamy-yellow species with hanging spines. These are evenly distributed, like teeth on a comb, along numerous branches which develop from a thick stem rooted in the wood substrate.
