Dermocybe austroveneta – Green Skinhead

On the ground in eucalypt forests. This sturdy agaric is easily recognisable by its green cap, yellow gills, pale yellow stem and rusty-brown spore print. The cap, which can vary from bright yellowish-green to deep bluish-green, is often camouflaged by litter. A cobwebby veil (cortina) covers young gills.
