Fungimap holds a number of events each year around the country, including talks, conferences, festivals, and workshops.
Our conference is held every two years in a regional location around Australia. In 2013, the conference was held in Rawson, Victoria and attracted over 75 participants to four days of forays, talks, and workshops in the Baw Baw National Park and the Tarra-Bulga National Park. Find out more about what fungi were recorded on forays at this conference by clicking here.
The Fungimap Festival is held every two years in an urban location around Australia, in alternation with the Fungimap Conference. The Festival is a less academic opportunity to mix with fellow fungi enthusiasts and share and learn about the latest fungal science, engage in debates, and participate in workshops. The Festival caters for all levels of interest.
The next Fungimap Festival will be held in 2014 in Brisbane, Queensland, and is intended to run in conjunction with the Australian Mycological Society's Conference so that individuals can attend both events. Further information and details will be available at the end of 2013.
